PERMIT INSPECTIONS
Galaxy Microlights is able to inspect the following Microlight catagories:
B = 3-axis aircraft, E = 2 stroke engines, F = 4 stroke engines, H = All Metal Structures,
I = Metal frame / Fabric covered, J = GRP and Composite ( NON Structural ), M = Minor Modifications,
W = Weight & Balance
FLEXWING INSPECTIONS ( ALL TYPES ) CAN BE ARRANGED.
We can also undertake a Builder Stage Inspectioon service too.
We can undertake weight and balance checks too with our quality digital weight block Scales.
Permit inspection cost at wing farm = £80 inc Check flight
Permit with weight and Bal at Wing Farm = £145 inc Check flight
Weight and Balance only = £75
Travel to and from Permit inspections, your site. = £37 per hour + travel @ 40p per mile.

PAINT/ GRIT BLASTING
Galaxy is able to undertake most of your painting needs including new paint jobs through to resprays. We are able to undertake one two or more colours per section. We can also spray your fabric aircraft too.

Typically on metal or GRP I would use a 2 pack Acrylic type paint or a 2 pack Polyurethane.
Galaxy can also offer a complete airframe Grit, Sand, glass, media blasting service as well as small componants too.
For fabric I would use the paint that is recommended for the fabric system being used. ie, Polyfibre would be the Polytone system
Typical cost would be inclusive if materials except paints, fully finished:-
New Aircraft paint job single colour = £1950
Extra colour per colour. = £500

POLYFIBER COVERING
Galaxy is able to cover you fabric aircraft too.
I have used the Polyfiber system several times in the past with fantastic results but am able to apply the fabric of your choice. Poly Fibre, Poly Brush and Poly Spray Tone is the system I use.
A typical airframe size Like the Escapade will be in the region of :-
To cover the full aircraft inc Poly Brushing and taping = £1800 + Poly Brush ( product ).
KIT BUILD GUIDANCE/ MENTORING SERVICE
Galaxy Microlights can also offer a kit builder guidance / Mentoring service to help you through your build process. We also conduct Build Stage inspections for your kit build too.
